MUSIC
Stella is a composer, pianist, and vocalist.
Her works have been performed in the US, UK, Italy, and France, in concerts held by the European American Musical Alliance (EAMA), highSCORE, Accademia Chigiana, Cortona Sessions, and soundSCAPE music festivals, as well as by the NY Youth Symphony Making Score Program, the Juilliard Pre-college, Harvard University, and the Royal College of Music. Her music has been performed by the New York Philharmonic, Radcliffe Choral Society, Silk Road Ensemble, Dinosaur Annex Ensemble, Chiara String Quartet, Juventas New Music Ensemble, Attacca String Quartet, and Ethel String Quartet.
In her academic life she has studied with Haris Kittos and Kenneth Hesketh (Royal College of Music), Chaya Czernowin and Richard Beaudoin (Harvard University), and Andrew Thomas (Juilliard Pre-College).
Stella is the former conductor (2014 - 15) and assistant conductor (2013 - 14) of the 'Cliffe Notes, the contemporary subset a cappella group of the Radcliffe Choral Society. She arranged the vast majority of their songs in their 2014 - 15 season; those are listed in the A CAPPELLA / ARRANGEMENTS section below.

The premiere performance of Specular, a work commissioned by the soundSCAPE New Music Festival, in Maccagno, Italy.
Performers: Ellen Shinogle (trumpet), Yi-Hsuan Lin (percussion), Helga Karen (piano) The world premiere of August 26, 1970, commissioned by the Radcliffe Choral Society. The piece is set to the poem "We Took to the Streets Like a River," by Anne Hazlewood Brady. Brady wrote the poem to commemorate the Strike for Equality march, which was a nationwide demonstration for women's rights held on August 26, 1970- the 50th anniversary of women’s suffrage.
